Why a location above the valley offers more than a room right on the beach
Valle Gran Rey is made up of several districts. Our holiday apartments are in Casa de La Seda – in the middle part of the valley, above the main road. You have a view over the whole valley to the Atlantic and can still get anywhere within a few minutes by car.
The tourist centre by the sea, with a promenade, supermarkets, restaurants and an ice-cream parlour. In the evening, the drummers at sunset.

Between La Playa and Vueltas, with the sheltered Playa Charco del Conde – the baby beach for families.

From San Sebastián de La Gomera it takes about an hour by car across the centre of the island – there is no coastal road. Alternatively, Fred Olsen’s Benchi Express sails directly into the harbour at Vueltas. All the details, timetables and tips are on our page about getting here.
In the Casa de La Seda district, in the middle part of the valley and above the main road. From there the view stretches across the green valley to the sea. The districts down by the water – La Playa, La Puntilla, Vueltas – are a few minutes‘ drive away.
The main beach in the valley is around 2.3 kilometres away, about 30 minutes downhill on foot or a few minutes by car. The nearest small supermarket is a good 600 metres away – uphill, but done in no time. The large SPAR supermarkets are in La Playa and Borbalan.
Peace and the view. Above the main road it is much quieter than down by the sea, and the view reaches across the whole valley. In return you need a few minutes more to get to the beach and restaurants – most of our guests feel that is a good trade-off.
For the island, yes; in the valley itself, not necessarily. The small supermarket is within walking distance and hiking trails start right at the house. If you want to head to the beaches and restaurants down in the valley regularly or explore the island, a hire car gives you much more flexibility.
Both are in the same house and share the same view. At around 53 m², Tosca Uno is more compact and can be reached without stairs. Tosca Dos offers 80 m² plus a terrace of the same size and two workspaces on the gallery – the better choice for longer stays.
Two apartments, the same location, different sizes.
